Cameron County Children and Youth Services is the agency responsible for investigating child abuse and neglect in this county. This agency provides education to prevent child abuse and neglect, as well as refers families in need to area social service providers based on the identified needs of the family. This agency provides temporary substitute placement for dependent children and youth when necessary, and provides services to reunite dependent children with their families.
